Bull market and bear market

A bull market is when prices rise for a long time, and a bear market when they fall at least 20% from their highs.

The images come from the way the two animals attack: the bull strikes upwards, the bear swipes downwards. Historically, rising phases have on average lasted longer than falling ones, but predicting when one ends and the other begins is almost impossible.

💡 The bull has also been Fanta-Trade's symbol since 2019.
