Market order

A market order buys or sells immediately, at the first available price.

It's the simplest type of order: the priority is execution, not price. On heavily traded stocks the price obtained is close to the last one seen; on illiquid ones or at times of strong turmoil it can be worse than expected.

💡 On Fanta-Trade, purchases and sales at market price are executed at the last available price.
